Hi Charlie, We have several styles of ghillies that are made in Scotland. These are the only ones made in Mexico. We carry them because Joseph says they are the most comfortable ghillies he's ever worn, and when your on your feet all day at a festival, that's important. Kind regards, Lorie Croft

A little disappointed
The Ghillies seem to be very well made however I was disappointed to see that they were made in Mexico. I was under the impression that they were made in Scotland.

If you find that the, Synthetic Sole Ghillie Brogues are not wide enough, get these, Light Weight Piper Ghillies. What a big difference. I wear a wide shoe and the Synthetic Sole Ghillies were just to narrow. Janelle suggested these shoes as they are wider, even though the shoe size doesn't indicate that. My feet are happy & smiling now. These are the shoes for you, if you wear wide sizes. Also, I got the same size shoe (10 1/2), as before...no need to go with a larger size in order to get the wider Ghillie feel.
