There's currently over 3,700 registered tartans, but only about 1,400 of them are currently in production. If you don't see the tartan or family name you are looking for in any of our tartan lists, most likely it's available in a custom weave.

As members of the Tartan Authority, we have access to all of the registered tartans. To order a custom-weave kilt, first search for your tartan using the Tartan Authority's Tartan Ferret search tool. Then, just tell us the name of your tartan, and the ITI# you find with the Tartan Ferret search. If you need any help with this, just let us know — we're happy to help!.

Your kilt will be made to order in Scotland, from your choice of light-medium weight (12oz) or heavy weight (15oz) premium wool tartan (woven in Scotland). Unless you live in an especially hot climate, we recommend the heavy weight tartan. It's especially good for durability and crisper pleats.

Special order. Please allow 12–20 weeks for delivery. (Because the tartan has to be woven first, custom weave kilts take approximately twice as long as other kilts to make.)

Hip sizes 46" - 53" add $50. Hip sizes 54"+ add $100. (Depending on hip size, your formal kilt will be made with 8-10 yds. of tartan.)
