The AcryliKilt™ is the very best kilt you're going to get for $59 or less! The AcryliKilt™ is constructed almost as well as our Economy Kilt. Why so cheap? The biggest difference is in the fabric. The AcryliKilt™ is made from low-cost but good-looking, light-weight, 100% acrylic tartan fabric. (Our Economy Kilt is made from a medium-weight poly/wool blend.)

The straps and buckles on an AcryliKilt™ are good, but not as good as those on an Economy Kilt.  They do have belt loops though, which is one of the most-requested features.

If you're looking for a decent kilt on the cheap, give it a try! (We think you'll be happy with your Acrylikilt™, but if you are unsure, then consider our Economy Kilt instead. It's a better kilt, and still affordable.

How To Measure for Your Kilt

  1. Have someone help you. If you bend over even a bit, your measurement will not be correct.
  2. Measure your waist size in inches at the navel (belly button). This is the traditional kilt waist. Alternatively, for a more casual look, many men prefer to wear their kilts at the pants waist. If this is what you choose, then measure comfortably around your waist where the top of your pants rest. Or, If you intend to wear your kilt mostly for formal occasions, and you have a bit more around the middle than you might like to have, you may want to measure a little higher than the navel to get over the crest of the "beer gut". The higher waist will help your kilt stay up where it belongs.
  3. Measure around your hips (butt) at the fullest point (usually 6-8 inches below the waist).
  4. Measure from your waist (kilt waist or pants waist accordingly) to about the middle of the knee.

I recently ordered and received my Acrylic Royal Stewart tartan and am VERY pleased with it construction and quality and will be ordering another in the Pride of Scotland tartan as the first one I purchased at an annual street fair in San Francisco back in 2013 or 2014 is a bit long in the tooth and not nearly as well constructed or of the same quality as The Celtic Croft offerings. Thanks -JTHMcC,jr
Can't beat the quality of this kilt for the price!
Love the acrylikilt. I have had one for years and just ordered my niece one. Ideal for warm climates and wears well. Awesome customer service.
Thanks Celtic Croft!
Super work and thanks. I love the kilt and plan to wear it with pride at the upcoming Richmond Celtic festival. And thank you for your quick responses on my questions regarding the kilt. Truly you are customer oriented and appreciate the quickness in your reply to my answers.
I have 2 of these so far, a black one I ordered specific for me, and a night watch one I bought from the clearance section. They look very nice, they are quite comfortable and easy to take care of, and are well made. The fabric is the weak link - not bad, but not quite as good as wool or polyvicose. Still, at this price you can't really go wrong, and when I get around to getting a black watch, I'll probably get one of these again...
At the price, I expected a Holloween costume. Boy, was I wrong! It has two leather buckles. All you need is a belt and your good. It is easy to throw on for daily use while being ideal for hot weather.
Just received my new kilt. I am very pleased with the tailoring and fit. It really does compare in weight to my heavy weight tartan kilt, which is a very big surprise bonus. Delivery time was just as stated, with USPS being the carrier and alerting me to the shipment and allowing tracking. Very, very satisfied with this purchase. See you at the beer tent! Slainte Mhor!
I want to thank you for my kilt. I got it for my 12 birthday and it was a wonderful present from my Mom and Dad. It fits wonderfully and looks great on me. I love the colors on it and how well it is made. Thank You!
I looked UNDER the size label on my canvas kilt. Lo and behold the laundry instructions! " Machine wash cold, non chlorine bleach if needed. lay out flat to dry. If necessary press with iron on low" I used delicate cycle. Came out grand, so it did! Didn't need much pressing, just touched up a little-- used a damp pressing cloth. Voila, like new!

I bought the Irish Green kilt at a Celtic festival in Colorado. I bought the same size as my Black Watch kilt from Scotland, but it turned out to be too small. I called Celtic Croft and they were so easy to work with. I mailed mine in and they sent me the size I needed with no problem other than it took a bit longer due to them needing to special order my size. However, I love this kilt! The quality is excellent, and I love the way it swings. The pleats are great, and I love the belt loop feature and the belt straps on the side, along with the fringe. It really looks like a kilt that would cost hundreds of dollars! I definitely plan on buying a few more. Thank you so much for producing such a great product! I wish you had more clan tartans though. I am wanting to buy the Livingstone and Farqhuarson tartans, so if you made those in AcryliKilts I would definitely purchase them!
