Joseph got
his start 12 years ago selling bagpipes as The Shetland Piper. Over
the years the business has evolved away from bagpipes, and now deals
primarily with kilts, accessories, Scottish and Irish clothing,
and gifts. Five years ago Lorie married Joseph and joined the business,
Joseph quit his job, and together they run the business full-time.
January 2004 they changed the business name to The Celtic Croft.
We travel many weekends throughout the summer each year attending
Highland Games and Irish fairs around the country (sometimes with
the seven children), but primarily our business is based in mail-order
sales from the catalog and website. We currently have a small showroom
in our home in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, and welcome visitors by
appointment. Be warned though, we have 7 children and 4 cats. If
you are allergic to cats or kids, please let us know, and we will
arrange an alternate meeting place. We hope to have an outside retail
location soon.
